Forest Practices

Fuels and Healthy Forest Practices Training and Advocacy

The cardinal rule of forestry is to create ideal growth environments for various species, so that each will grow to its full capacity. Such an environment produces not only a healthy, beautiful stand of timber, but also a place where fire will not thrive.

Many of NCRC's client's are landowners with justifiable concerns about wildland fire and it's devastating effects. The landowners are not alone in this concern, as the rash of catastrophic fires over the last few summers has resulted in the earmarking of funds to combat this solvable problem.

NCRC is dedicated to assisting landowners with their timber plan assessment and development as well as with identification of sources of financial assistance.

If you have any questions about your forest, feel free to call the Resource Center at 530-468-2888 and we will be happy to help.
